Hailey is the coordinator at Llano Estacado Winery. I first met her while we working working on a styled shoot at Llano several months ago. The shoot was published on Fab You Bliss; you can see it here. She is super organized and a terrific multi-tacker which definitely comes in handy as a coordinator! Plus, she has such a fun personality!

Now for the interview.

Me: What inspired you to go into your field?
Hailey: It’s sounds cliche but I’ve just always wanted to be in the wedding business – I’ve always been a huge extrovert and have a creative side so planning parties just for my friends and family was just never enough. This truly is my dream job!

Me:  What is your favorite part about what you do?

Hailey: To be able to share in the joy with someone on the biggest day of their life – it’s such an honor and privilege. It’s always positive, I work with amazing people and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!

Me: What makes Llano Estacado unique/special/different?

Hailey: Well for one, we are the largest winery in the state celebrating 40 years of wine making. Our Event Center was our original winery building and so it just has really rich history – our winery really paved the way for the industry here in Texas. The current event space now looks into our current production area so guests can see where we make our wine and taste the wine as well – making it a truly unique experience. We have a gorgeous Tasting Room, Event Center, Bridal Suite and a 3 acre estate vineyard that is absolutely gorgeous during the warm months!

Me: How far in advance should brides book?

Hailey:We book out anywhere from 3 months to 2 years – really as soon as you get engaged start looking for your venue – it’s the first thing that books up and it sets the groundwork for the rest of your day!

Me: What do you do on a wedding day?

Hailey: As a venue coordinator I make sure everything is set up just how the bride wants the spaces for ceremony or reception, coordinates bar service, cocktail hour, and coordinates clean up as well. I do offer in-house coordinating for an extra fee and then I will pretty much do anything and everything – from making your schedule to running the rehearsal and coordinating with vendors.

Me: Fun fact about you!

Hailey:I have a black Labrador Retriever that is basically my child, I run a small stationary shop on the side, and I love wine now but didn’t even have any at my own wedding!
